spring is in the air
Oh the joy, the smells, the bliss filled gentle breezes. It is official, at least in my heart and around my neck of the woods, Spring is knocking down our door! The leaves are greening, the trees are popping off with layers of awe inspiring blossoms in glorious lavenders and pinks and whites, and bird song is loud and clear. All you need do is look up into the trees to get a full blast of Spring in her waking glory.

{this moment}
{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your "moment" in the comments for all of us to see. (Inspired by Amanda Soule of Soule Mama)

this boy, my heart
(all of these wonderful photos today were done by this fabulous boy!)

This boy who has held my heart for seven years. This boy who can scream like a banshee, howl like a wolf, and laugh like he is being tickled by the heavens. This boy who is magnificent, talented, and amazes me at every turn. This boy who incites my temper just to see me frazzled and hugs so tight you'd think you might explode. This boy is more precious and special than I could have ever imagined. I love this boy!

in this moment...
I can only sit and back and admire my children. Their individuality, their character, their strength all astounds me. Their vulnerability, their honesty, their need is humbling. And though at times I may screw up, and at times I don't have all of the answers there are days when I am grateful to be able to say that I am indeed a pretty great mom to these pretty great kids!
